22 May 2012, I’ve officially graduated from polytechnic education. Am I a step closer to my dreams? I’m not too sure yet. Seeing what some of my course mates had achieved and what they’re currently doing now, I feel they’re a step closer to what they wanted to do. Me? I feel like for these 3 years I’ve worked hard, but not hard enough. “Everyone has faults because we’re not perfect but what’s important is passion for our dreams and confidence” as quoted from Daesung of Big Bang. Yes, I may have the passion but I think what I’m lacking now is self-confidence and I’m not daring enough. I think that’s the reason why I’ve not achieved much yet. Because of my lack of self-confidence and courage, I’ve gave up on many good opportunities that could help me be a step closer to my dreams without even trying. Thinking back now, I regretted not giving it a try, maybe things would have turned out to be different.
If given a chance to enter the University and course of my choice, I’ll change to become a person who’s not afraid to try and have confidence in what I’m doing. I’ll grab the opportunities that would help me in achieving my dreams. “If you never try, you’ll never know. Never stop dreaming.”
Dear Uni,
Please send me my acceptance letter (with good news) soon so that I can at least make plans as to whether I should find a temp job, full-time job, part-time job or continue slacking at home and if I should find other options to further pursue my studies.
